Is it possible to flash the soldered SD-NAND (CSNP32GCR01-AOW) via USB (like SPI-NAND,…) or is it required to format/flash it before with an external device?

It acts like a non-removable SD card, so has challenges with initial flashing and re-flashing. Once you are 100% sure your image is final and tested, flash onto the SD NAND then solder.
