SD Card flashing validation fails with 64GB card, but succeeds with 8GB – root partition unable to mount

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to flash the ‘milkv-duo256m-sd-v1.1.2-2024-0801.img’ file to an SD card for my MilkV Duo256m module using Etcher. The process consistently fails during the validation step. I tried an 8GB SD card, and the flashing completed successfully, but I don’t have any other 8GB cards on hand. When I tried with a 64GB SD card, the validation failed again, and afterward, the root partition became unmountable, likely corrupt.

Is there a size limitation for SD cards, or could there be another underlying issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

There’s no size limitation. Instead, your TF card seems concerning: gradually failing, or even counterfeit. Or probably your card reader doesn’t like it.

I’ve tried my Duo boards with 64GB TF cards, no problem at all.
